Leicester Tigers are saddened to learn of the death of academy vice-president Robert Wills.
He was a trustee of the Rugby Development Foundation and successful businessman, and Robert’s support played a major role in the work of the academy programme over a number of years and he will be sorely missed by everyone involved at the club.
Peter Howard, a fellow academy vice-president, said: “It is very sad news. Robert was a man of great principle, integrity, determination and drive. He was a wonderfully generous man in every way.
“As a lifelong Tigers fan, he was a passionate and generous academy vice-president over many years and also a very good friend to those who worked with him.”
The club sends its deepest condolences to Robert’s family and friends at this time.
