Trio in line to face Wales

Ellis Genge has been named alongside Leicester Tigers colleagues Ben Youngs and Dan Cole in the England 23 for Sunday's match against Wales at Twickenham.

After just five appearances for Tigers, Genge is among four uncapped players in the matchday squad for the Old Mutual Wealth Cup fixture.

Northampton Saints back-row forward Teimana Harrison will earn his first cap at flanker, while Genge joins Sale Sharks hooker Tommy Taylor and Bath centre Ollie Devoto among the replacements.

Cole wins his 62nd cap at tighthead prop, with scrum-half Youngs moving on to cap number 58.

“We have a number of players missing from the squad who are taking part in the Premiership Final but this provides us with a great opportunity to expose other players to Test rugby,” said head coach Eddie Jones.

“I’m pleased with the progress the squad have made in the time we’ve had together. There’s been plenty of energy and enthusiasm and you can tell the lads have enjoyed being back in camp.

“This is an important match and a great opportunity for us to play some positive, physical rugby.”
