Trio nominated for Goldsmiths award

Jordan Crane, Manu Tuilagi and Logovi'i Mulipola have been shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Player of the Month award for April.

Crane receives a second Goldsmiths Player of the Month nomination after he was shortlisted in January.

The No8 scored the Tigers try against Clermont that sparked a stirring comeback in the Stade Marcel Michelin and turned provider for Vereniki Goneva against Harlequins on Good Friday.

This is a second Goldsmiths Player of the Month nomination in as many months for Mulipola, who narrowly missed out on March’s award.

The Samoa international is producing some of the best form of his Tigers career with excellent work in the set-piece as well as trademark carries around the pitch.

Tuilagi’s return from injury has coincided with some of Tigers’ best form of the season. The England international scored his first try of the season against Exeter and followed it up with two tries in a man-of-the-match performance against Wasps, the second of which earned was voted the Aviva Premiership Try of the Week.

The Tigers trio will be aiming to follow Ed Slater, who won the supporter vote for March’s award.

The Tigers Player of the Month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
