Business Club members met at the home of Leicester Tigers to hear and meet special guest Jason Fox, former soldier and the longest serving directing staff on the popular SAS: Who Dares Wins series.
Guest were wined and dined in Mattioli Woods Welford Road’s Premiership Suite enjoying a two-course meal before a Q&A with ‘Foxy’.

Jason took to the stage to share the story behind his life in the military, adjusting to civilian life as well as the success of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Fox joined the Marines as a 16-year-old “who had never left home and could barely make a cup of tea” but spent 10 years there before joining the Special Boat Service, involved in planning and leading operations including hostage rescue, counter-terrorism and bodyguarding.
Leaving the Special Forces in 2012, discharged with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), he went into facilities management before a break in television initially looking after a film crew and diving buddy on set.
His break with SAS: Who Dares Win became a success for Channel 4, but it was his open and frank account of PTSD in his book – Battle Scars.
Jason spoke of the ‘Spirit of the Marine’s built around courage, determination, unselfishness and cheerfulness in the face of adversity, and the key pillars of leadership; Trust, loyalty and empathy.
The event concluded with a Q&A session with members putting their questions to the former soldier concluding the first Business Club of 2022.
The next event will take place on Wednesday, May 11 welcoming Sarah Armstrong-Smith, an industry leader in cybersecurity and chief security advisor at Microsoft.
