Ultimate Experience for StubHub winner

Figure image
Described as the Ultimate Season Ticket Experience by StubHub when they launched their competition to see behind the scenes at Leicester Tigers, it lived up to the billing for winners the Fort family.Tigers fans who signed up for next year at Welford Road with a 2015/16 season ticket before March 28 were entered into the competition to win the Ultimate Season Ticket Experience with StubHub, the club’s official ticketing marketplace.   The Fort family were drawn out of the hat and enjoyed the first part of their prize when they were presented to a large matchday crowd at half-time of the home game against London Welsh, when they also received Tigers’ home shirts.   Dad Jonathan and his friends joined 450 guests at the End of the Year Awards dinner at Welford Road last week, when he presented the Try of the Season to Tom Youngs. He made the fantastic gesture of inviting Fan of the Year nominees Ian Cockerill and Eddy Crowe onstage with him to make the presentation.   The prize continued on Tuesday when Jonathan’s dad John and his friend Allan Day were given a behind-the-scenes tour of Tigers’ Oval Park training ground by club legend Louis Deacon.   The tour included a look at the gym and rehabilitation facilities, the chance to watch some of the training ahead of Saturday’s Aviva Premiership game against Wasps, and lunch with the playing squad.   John said: “It was quite an eye-opener to see what goes on – you don’t realise everything that goes in to making it all work.   “We shook hands with (director of rugby) Richard Cockerill and he had a chat with us, which was very pleasant. We met Geordan Murphy and had lunch with the players.   “All in all it was an excellent day,” he said.   The Fort family’s Ultimate Season Ticket Experience concludes with VIP matchday hospitality for the Aviva Premiership fixture against Northampton Saints at Welford Road on May 16.   More than 11,500 supporters have already signed up to a 2015/16 season ticket. Season tickets for 2015/16 are available now from the Tigers ticket office, with big savings on matchday prices and categories for adults, over-65, young adults & full-time students, juniors and families. Direct Debit is available, with no fee and no interest, to help spread the payments and there are other benefits too, including Tigers Store discounts and the opportunity to apply for tickets for internationals and any knockout fixtures.
