Welford Road will once again host De Montfort University and University of Leicester rugby teams as they battle it out in this year’s Varsity season. 

Both the men’s and women’s teams will walk out onto the famous rugby pitch to face off next Thursday March 8.

Gates open from 6.00pm with the women’s match kicking off at 6.15pm, with the men’s fixture taking place shortly after 8.00pm.

Tickets cost £5 in advance or £7.50 on the night and can be purchased by contacting the Tigers ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or directly through the universities. 

Tickets are valid for both matches. Food and drinks will be available. 

Last year saw the University of Leicester celebrate a dramatic Varsity Night double with both the men’s and women’s teams coming out on top for the fifth successive year.
