You never know where Welford will pop up next - so keep a look-out for the Leicester Tigers mascot.Welford has been back on the road this week, meeting Tigers Family members across the region, including trips to school in Kibworth and the popular Foxton Locks, where he bumped into Tigers favourite Marcos Ayerza who was taking a short break from his World Cup campaign with Argentina.
Leicester railway station, Leicester city centre, De Montfort University sports fair, Coalville town centre, Spire Hospital Leicester and Loughborough University have also been on Welford’s list in the last couple of weeks, with some great giveaways for supporters too.
He also joined the club’s new tag rugby programme supported by The Nottingham Building Society with a visit to Market Harborough CofE Primary School.
After all that hard work, Welford is back to work at the stadium this weekend, with Tigers facing Sale Sharks on Saturday in the last game of the Kings of the North tournament.
He’ll be meeting young supporters in the Junior Tigers Club area of Final Whistle and there is a chance to join him as a matchday mascot running out with the teams or as a Tiger Cub and score a try under the posts just before kick-off. Click here to see the JTC pages of the Tigers website for more details and sign up the young fan in your family today. Match tickets are available now. Book online by clicking here.
