Welford Road will host two-day mental health first aid courses this autumn and places are still available.
The courses are designed to help people recognise the symptoms of mental health issues and to give advice and support.
The first takes place on September 20 and 21 and the second on November 12 and 13.
Organisers 1st Choice Safety Training and Consultancy describe the course as the mental health equivalent of physical first aid.
It will provide attendees with practical skills, knowledge and confidence to recognise symptoms of mental health issues; effectively support people experiencing mental health issues; and to provide information on how to seek appropriate professional advice.
The courses are aimed at people who want to become a mental health first aider and/or to increase their knowledge of mental health issues.
