We'll be ready for the run-in says Cockerill

Richard Cockerill says there can be no let-up as Leicester Tigers prepare for the last six rounds of the Aviva Premiership season.

There is a break from league action for the next two weekends as the LV= Cup reaches its conclusion, but Tigers return with a home game against Exeter Chiefs in Round 17 on Sunday, March 23 (2pm).

“We’ve had some of the guys in this week training, some are continuing rehab work and some have had a bit of time off, but we’ll all be back in next week and have two good weeks in training ahead of the Exeter game,” said director of rugby Cockerill.

“We’ve just got six games to go in the Aviva Premiership season and we need to get as many points as we can.

“It was great to win those four games in a row during the last few weeks and to get back into the top four in the league. Winning is important for confidence and to give you a bit of momentum.

“The boys have been working hard, we’re getting a few of the injured players back and we want to push on.

“Now we’ve got six big games left in the league and we’ve got to stay in the top four. We want to be in good form going into the tail-end of the season and give it our best shot from there.”

As well as the home game against Exeter Chiefs, Tigers host London Wasps (April 12) and Saracens (May 10) at Welford Road and travel to face Northampton Saints, Harlequins and Sale Sharks in the run-in.

Tickets for all home games are available now from the Tigers ticket office. Call in at Welford Road or phone 0844 856 1880 (open 8.30am-5pm weekdays, until 8pm Wednesdays and 9am-5pm Saturdays). Or book online any time.

Hospitality places for remaining home games can be booked by phoning the team on 0116 2171 215.
