Harry Wells is leading Leicester Tigers' charge for Movember this year, and the lock admits some attempts have proved better than others.
The 23-year-old is currently rocking the old school ‘handlebar’ moustache as he captains the Tigers Movember effort.
All 12 Premiership Rugby clubs are raising awareness for men’s health with top-lip creations, but Wells admits some of the younger squad members at Welford Road have struggled.
“I’m really happy with how Movember has been going here,” he said. “We have got a few mos that are looking pretty strong, but then there are a few youngsters round the place that are looking pretty thin.
“George Worth’s in particular is looking pretty pathetic at the moment, but I’m not sure he has gone through puberty yet so he is at a bit of a disadvantage!
“I am firm believer that – if you are going to do a novelty moustache – you can start early, so I had a running start but we had a few lads that clean shaved on day one for it.
“A lot of lads have got involved and there has been a fair bit of banter flying around – it is great to see everyone get behind it while understanding the reasons for it.”

To date, the Movember Foundation has funded over 1,200 men’s health programmes around the world, focusing primarily on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention.
None of this can happen without the incredible community of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, and Premiership Rugby is supporting the Movember Foundation to create a Mo League.
And Wells insists it is an honour to be involved for the Tigers, as they look to finish the month in style with yet more fund-raising efforts.
“I am not involved for any personal reason, but I think it’s a great opportunity to raise awareness for a growing problem,” he added.
“Prostate cancer and also issues like mental health, it’s great to get them out in the open and spoken about more.
“We have spoken about putting together a little auction before the end of the month as well to help with the fundraising effort, we want one last big push.”
