'Without you we wouldn't be Leicester Tigers'

Thousands of supporters have been opening and sharing personalised video messages from Manu Tuilagi and his Leicester Tigers team-mates.

Tigers have put together a unique film featuring Tuilagi and colleagues Rob Hawkins and Gonzalo Camacho as part of the club’s 2014/15 season-ticket campaign.

The video, which can be viewed at www.tigersfamily.co.uk/vip/, features a personalised welcome from Tuilagi and an invite to join the 10-time English champions at Welford Road next season.

Tuilagi, the Tigers, England and British & Irish Lions centre,  and hooker Hawkins are filmed at Welford Road, while Camacho is filmed inside the Tigers dressing room.

“Without you we wouldn’t be Leicester Tigers,” says Tuilagi.

The film also features action from Welford Road and from last season’s Aviva Premiership Final victory at Twickenham.

The message was watched more than 20,000 times in the 24 hours after being sent to supporters on Tuesday. It has been watched by fans across the UK, Europe and the USA as well as Australia, Russia and China – and even Afghanistan.

Fans can email the film to their friends and family, who will receive a personalised video of their own, or they can share it on Facebook and Twitter.

Chris Rose, Leicester Tigers head of brand, said: “Our season ticket holders are the most important part of what makes Tigers a world-class club.

“We don’t have a rich owner, or pay dividends to share holders, so every penny that we bring in through ticket sales is reinvested in the club, through the first team, the facilities and the Academy.

“Without our loyal and dedicated supporters we wouldn’t have had six players come through the Academy to represent the British & Irish Lions in the 2013 tour, we wouldn’t have the largest dedicated club rugby stadium in the UK, and wouldn’t be 10-times champions of England.

"The video aims to reinforce that everyone at Tigers understands how important you are to us and how important Tigers are to you."
