George Worth is the latest winner of the Lumbers Player of the Month award after topping the voting among Leicester Tigers supporters.
The Tigers academy graduate Worth topped the voting on the Lumbers website ahead of fellow shortlisted players Will Spencer and Joe Ford, with the winner announced at half-time in Sunday’s European fixture against Racing 92.
His performances against Gloucester and Saracens gained enough votes to allow Worth to follow international duo David Denton and George Ford, and England under-20s scrum-half Ben White as monthly winners this season.
Supported by High Street jewellers Lumbers and voted for by Tigers supporters, the monthly award recognises the contributions of individual players to the team throughout the campaign.
Each month, fans will be asked to pick their top performer from a shortlist of three players nominated by the Tigers coaching staff. The player with the most votes on the Lumbers website will win the award, which will be presented on the Welford Road pitch during half-time of a first-team fixture.
