Laura is a familiar face to fans of the popular ITV show X Factor after starring in the 2008 series, during which she was mentored by Cheryl Cole.
After touring with Peter Andre last year, Laura was part of the Haiti relief charity single I Put A Spell On You alongside artists such as Stereophonics, Paloma Faith and Nick Cave.
Laura has been singing and playing the piano since she was a young girl and began singing in jazz bars at the age of 15.
She has worked with the likes of Ben Cullum and Cutfather on her new album, which will be released later this year.
Now she is to appear on stage at Tigers In The Park on Saturday, September 3, as Tigers celebrate the start of the season in style.
Tigers In The Park is a community fun day for everyone, being organised by Tigers to mark the opening game of the new Aviva Premiership campaign.
“What the Leicester Tigers are doing for the entire Leicester community is truly fantastic,” said Laura.
“I am proud to perform at and be a part of such a great event designed for all the family in the run up to a big opening season game.”
Tigers In The Park will be held on Nelson Mandela Park and in front of the Caterpillar Stand at Welford Road. It starts at 11am until kick-off at 3pm and entry is free. Laura will close the event.
Further attractions include street dance group Addict, Bollywood dance academy Desi Masti and local bands as well as a rodeo rugby ball, an inflatable run and a bouncy castle. The army will be bringing a mini tank and their climbing wall and there will also be stalls, food and a bar.
The Maul, the Tigers Roadshow Vehicle, will be running the Speed Pass challenge, Spot the Ball and our interactive Tigers quiz, while the Tigers community team will be holding tag rugby sessions.
