You can make a difference with Comic Relief

The Leicester Tigers Foundation has kicked off a whole month of fund-raising to support its work in the community.

To help the Foundation to continue its delivery of sporting opportunities to individuals of all ages with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), the goal is to raise at least £20,000 through Comic Relief during March.

Not only will all monies raised go to this dedicated fund, but the total will be doubled by Comic Relief through Premiership Rugby.

Rugby development officer Josh Black launched the Comic Relief SEND programme earlier this season and said: “It’s incredibly rewarding to work with these schools and see the delight on students’ faces when they know they’re going to be taking part. The feedback has been awesome.”

The fund-raising campaign began with a bucket collection at Friday’s Aviva Premiership fixture between Leicester Tigers and Exeter Chiefs at Welford Road, and Tigers players donned their Comic Relief red noses to help promote the appeal in video messages shown on the stadium’s big screens during the evening.

You can help the Tigers Foundation Comic Relief SEND programme by making a donation this month via Just Giving or by text as follows:

Visit the Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/leicester-tigers.

Or text LTCR17 followed by the amount you wish to donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070.

Thank you to everyone who has shown their support.
