Leicester Tigers flanker Tommy Reffell has led Wales Under-18s to two successive victories in their international series in South Africa, including a 14-12 triumph over England on Tuesday.
Tigers academy forward Reffell has captained Wales in each of their two wins, starting with a 30-28 victory over South African Schools and following up with a famous victory over their oldest rivals in Cape Town.
The Welsh side, showing five changes to the line-up that faced the South Africans, dominated the first half in wet conditions against England and led 14-0 at half-time.
Having beaten England 29-19 at Ebbw Vale earlier in the year, Reffell’s side secured a notable double when England – who included Tigers prop Joe Heyes among the replacements after playing in their opening win over France last weekend – missed a late conversion attempt.
Reffell will hope to make it a hat-trick with the final fixture against France later this week.
