Club captain Tom Youngs speak to LTTV from Oval Park about the past 24 hours and changes that have taken place, which included the departure of Matt O'Connor and appointment of Geordan Murphy to Interim Head Coach.

Youngs opens up on the feelings of the group as well as his own on the loss of O'Connor, while also addressing the need for the group to move on and focus on the challenge ahead this weekend when Newcastle Falcons come to Welford Road for the first home game of the new Premiership season.

"The highs are never too high and the lows are never too low."

Tom Youngs

The Tigers captain discusses the need for the squad to support Murphy in his new role and also explains why the experience the eight-time Premiership and two-time European champion brings, including his knowledge of the club and successful record, is invaluable to the group.

Youngs also previews Saturday's clash with the Falcons and the bitter taste still in the mouths of many Tigers players after last season's last-gasp loss to the Newcastle side at Welford Road, while also accepting that no excuses can be made ahead of the clash after a whirlwind start to the week at the club and addresses the opening round loss to Exeter last weekend and the need to "move on" from the hurt of the fixture.
