Youngs relishes Australia Test

Ben Youngs says he enjoys playing against the attacking Australians as he prepares to win his 42nd England cap today (Saturday).

Youngs starts at scrum-half at Twickenham in England’s final game of the QBE International Series, and he feels the attacking game played by the Wallabies could suit England.

He said: “I really enjoy playing Australia because of the way they play the game.

“They play it very fast, they chuck it around a lot, which also means we’ll get opportunities ourselves, so it’s always an enjoyable game to play.

“Australia play like that because their back three is dangerous. They want to get the ball in their hands as much as they can.

“We’ve got to make sure from an England point of view that me and George (Ford) controll things, get through the phases and the patterns we want to get through.

“We want to be a bit more direct. We were a little bit wide last week. We want to be able to give us the opportunities to either come back on short sides or beat them around the corner.”

England's match against Australia will be shown 'as live' on screens around the stadium after Tigers' Aviva Premiership clash with Wasps today so fans won't have to miss any of the autumn international rugby.
