Academy prepare to defend unbeaten run

Leicester Tigers travel to Yorkshire on Saturday for a fifth-round fixture in the Under-18 Academy League as they look to build on their unbeaten run in the campaign.

Tigers were 52-5 winners over second-placed Wasps last weekend and the squad remain unbeaten at the top of the table.

After the Wasps game, academy manager Dave Wilks told LTTV: “The boys stuck to the script and played really maturely. They’re just a really good group and want to play and they train hard.

“What is really good is that we had four guys called up to the first team’s Anglo-Welsh Cup squad which is brilliant, and that’s meant other lads can step in and get their chance.”

Tomorrow's fixture against Yorkshire Carnegie will be played at Keighley RUFC (BD20 6DT) and kicks off at 3.00pm
