The Walk of Legends on the approach to the new Caterpillar Stand celebrates 15 of Tigers’ greatest names as voted for by the club’s supporters.
The Walk of Legends XV includes Tigers’ record appearance holder David Matthews, world record points scorer Dusty Hare and England World Cup winning captain Martin Johnson as well as England’s record international try scorer Rory Underwood, former England and British Lions hooker Peter Wheeler and ex-Tigers No8, captain and director of rugby Dean Richards.
Now Tigers are to host a one-off dinner in the new Caterpillar Stand on Thursday, October 8 to honour the club’s outstanding past players and to celebrate a new era for the club.
The Walk of Legends XV and their guests have been invited, and many of them have already accepted and are looking forward to attending.
The evening will also be one of the last events in the testimonial year of two of the best-loved and most respected current squad members - Lewis Moody and Geordan Murphy.
The event will begin at 7pm and guests will be called through to dinner at 7.45pm. During the evening the Legends will share their experiences of playing for Tigers.
The evening is priced £89 + VAT per person and includes a four-course dinner and a question and answer sessions with some of the Tigers legends.
