Six Leicester Tigers players are included in a 35-man England squad named by head coach Eddie Jones ahead of the opening game in the Guinness Six Nations.
Dan Cole, who has 82 Test caps for England, returns to the squad, having last played against Ireland in last season’s Six Nations, and he is joined by clubmates Ellis Genge, George Ford, Jonny May, Manu Tuilagi and Ben Youngs.
Ollie Thorley (Gloucester) is included for the first time and is one of four uncapped players selected alongside Ben Earl (Saracens), Dan Robson (Wasps) and Jack Singleton (Worcester Warriors).
England open the Six Nations against Ireland in Dublin on February 2 (kick off 4.45pm).
Eddie Jones said: “We are very happy with the squad and have a number of players who have come back from long-term injury. We are looking forward to getting across to Portugal and having a good 10-day preparation for the Ireland game.
The squad will travel to Portugal next Wednesday to begin their preparations and will take a squad of 25 players to Dublin ahead of the Six Nations opener.
