Francois van Wyk received a three week ban from an independent disciplinary panel on Tuesday evening after being cited for dangerous tackling contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13 in the match against Bristol Bears on Saturday, December 3.
The Leicester Tigers prop can have the ban reduced to two weeks if he completes World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme.
The panel was chaired by Oliver Clark with Alastair Campbell and James Wilson.
