Leicester Tigers lock George Skivington has been called up to the England Elite Player Squad preparing for the RBS 6 Nations.

Tigers teammate Manu Tuilagi has been added to the England Saxons squad for their games against Italy A and Ireland A.

Skivington, the Goldsmiths Player of the Month for December, joins fellow Tigers players George Chuter, Dan Cole, Louis Deacon, Toby Flood and Ben Youngs in the England squad.

The second row, who has made 18 starts for Tigers since joining from London Wasps in the summer, comes in for Courtney Lawes (Northampton Saints).

Skivington is one of four replacements called into Martin Johnson’s Elite Player Squad. He joins Saints flankers Tom Wood and Phil Dowson and Bath Rugby full-back Nick Abendanon, who replace Tigers' Tom Croft, Lewis Moody (Bath Rugby) and Delon Armitage (London Irish) respectively.

All four players have joined the England squad training in Portugal this week.

Tuilagi, meanwhile, is one of seven changes to the England Saxons squad preparing for the games against Italy A at Worcester on Saturday and Ireland A in Belfast on February 4. He replaces Mathew Tait (Sale Sharks) and joins fellow Tigers Anthony Allen, Jordan Crane, Dan Hipkiss and Billy Twelvetrees in the squad.

Nick Wood (Gloucester Rugby), James Buckland (London Irish), Graham Kitchener (Worcester Warriors), Olly Morgan (Gloucester Rugby) are injury replacements for Matt Mullan (Worcester Warriors), Rob Webber and Dan Ward-Smith (both London Wasps) and Alex Goode (Saracens).

Harlequins lock George Robson replaces the suspended David Attwood (Gloucester Rugby) and Harlequins full back Mike Brown takes over from Abendanon following his promotion to the senior EPS.
