Leicester Tigers are asking supporters for their help in creating new designs for the reusable goblets used in bar areas around Welford Road in the 2017/18 season.

Tigers-themed reusable cups have become a part of matchdays at Welford Road in recent seasons, and will return for the coming season.

A £1 deposit per glass will be added to the cost of your first drink and when you return to the bar, you will be served in a fresh, clean reusable glass.

There will be return stations for glasses around the stadium to return your deposit. Or you can keep the glass as souvenir.

There are five designs for the new-look goblets, with each design featuring one of five club legends. The designs include space for a word or short phrase to describe each legend.

For instance, the design for David Matthews, Tigers’ record appearance-maker with 502 games, will include the phrase ‘The Legends’ Legend’, a title bestowed upon him by former Tigers, England and British & Irish Lions hooker Peter Wheeler.

Now Tigers are looking for fans to suggest words or phrases to describe Martin Johnson, Les Cusworth, Dusty Hare and Rory Underwood, who will feature on the other designs.
