While, on Saturday, Francesca McGhie started for Scotland in their 19-0 victory over Italy and summer signing Abbey Constable came off the bench for Wales in their 37 - 5 defeat to Australia.
On Sunday, in WXV1, England took the first steps in retaining their title by defeating the USA by 61-21. Five Tigers took to the field in this fixture. Tahlia Brody and Emily Henrich, another summer addition, starting for the Eagles, whilst Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele and Tess Feury emerged from the USA bench. On the opposite bench, Amy Cokayne made her 77th appearance for the Red Roses as she came off the bench to help consolidate the win.
Meanwhile, for Canada, Claire Gallagher started at fly-half in their 46-24 defeat of France.
