It was a mixed bag of results for Leicester Tigers on the international stage in the second weekend of the 2025 summer Test calendar.

Nicky Smith started for Wales in their win, 22-31, over Japan in Kobe. The Welsh held off a fast-finishing Japanese side to end the national side's losing streak.

Tommy Reffell came off the bench late for Wales to help secure the win.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Will Hurd was a replacement for Scotland in their 29-14 defeat to Fiji.

The Tigers prop came on in the 57th minute for the Scots, who were beaten by the Pacific Isles nation for the first time since 2017.

In the final Test featuring Leicester players, in Argentina, England secured a series win over Los Pumas with a second successive Test win, 17-22.

Jack van Poortvliet's 80th-minute try secured the win for England, who trailed 17-14 at Estadio Bicentenario at half time.

Freddie Steward crossed in the 33rd minute for England with the full back and clubmate Joe Heyes both playing pivotal roles in the win.

England now travel to the USA to play the Eagles in Washington next Saturday, July 19.
