International Round-Up | Canada defeat USA as five Tigers involved

Five Leicester Tigers players were involved in the opening round of the 2025 Pacific Four series.

The cross-continental tournament kicked off last weekend, as Canada visited North American rivals the USA in Kansas City.

A record crowd of over 10'500 spectators watched on as Canada emerged victorious, beginning their PAC 4 title defence with a 26 - 14 win.

The scores were level going into the final ten minutes before a late yellow card saw the visitors bag two late tries to bag a bonus point win.

Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele, Tahlia Brody and Emily Henrich all started the match for the hosts, whilst Julia Omokhuale and Claire Gallagher both came on s replacements in the final ten minutes. 

Both teams now travel to south for round two as Canada visit New Zealand and the USA visit Australia with both games set for Saturday, May 17.
