Sinfield completes Extra Mile Challenge

Leicester Tigers defence coach Kevin Sinfield this morning completed his Extra Mile Challenge raising money and awareness of motor neurone disease.

The former England rugby league captain ran the 101-mile trip from Mattioli Woods Welford Road to Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds across the last 24 hours.

Hoards of fans, friends and support lined the streets across each 7km route shouting their support, with many joining Kevin for a portion of the run alongside his support team.

Sinfield OBE was aiming to raise £100,000 which will be equally split between the MND Association and the appeal to build The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease in Leeds.

This figure is now at over £600,000 and counting as he crossed the finish line at Leeds Rhino's Emerald Headingley Stadium.
