The Tigers back-rower, playing in front of the Leicester faithful at Welford Road for the first time, claimed 50% of the supporters vote to win the LeoVegas Fans' Favourite award for his performance in the Gallagher Premiership fixture.
Much to the delight of the more than 21,000 strong crowd, Taufua crossed for a try in his home debut which saw the New Zealand back-rower steamroll British Lions and Scotland fullback Stuart Hogg on his way to the line to score.
