Young Tigers fan Mitchell Bailey will find out this week if he's been named as the HITZ Young Achiever at the annual HITZ Award 2018.
The HITZ Young Achiever Award recognises a young person who, by overcoming a range of challenges, has worked the hardest to progress on their journey back to education, training or employment. It is someone who has persevered, despite setbacks; grown personally and socially, despite initially lacking confidence; and/or made new friends despite lacking personal/social skills.
LTTV caught up with with the 17-year old to hear more about his story as well as how HITZ has helped him to pursuit a career as a firefighter.
This year’s HITZ Awards will take place at the BT Centre on Wednesday, October 17 where participants, mentors and rugby stars past and present will gather to celebrate the programme’s achievements.
