Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby player and coach David Needham joined Kevin Sinfield on the start line ahead of his Extra Mile Challenge, taking part in the first 7km.
'Super Kev' is running 101-miles from Mattioli Woods Welford Road to Headingley Stadium in 24 hours from Monday, November 22 - Tuesday, November 23.
Needham, who has motor neurone disease, is no stranger to challenges completing a wide range raising awareness for MND, including the Three Peaks Challenge.
David and Kevin were able to catch up before the start, where members of the Tigers Family, representatives from the MND Association and the Leeds Hospice as well as press and media to show their support.
