Matchday guide | Women's team make home debut

Leicester Tigers host a first home game in the Women’s Championship North this Saturday and will also show live coverage of the Gallagher Premiership fixture away to Saracens.

Mattioli Woods Welford Road hosted a record crowd for an England Women's international fixture last season and now the stage is set for a club home game for the first time.

Here is our Matchday Guide with all of the information you need ahead of the game.

Stadium set-up

All supporters will enter and be accommodated in the Yodel Stand. Turnstiles are open from noon.

The club encourages supporters not to bring bags into the stadium in order to help minimise delays and contact due to searches at the turnstiles.

The main Club Shop in the Beehive Money Stand is open all day. Season ticket holders receive a discount on shop purchases. Supporters can use any Credit on their Tigers account to spend on shop purchases.

Using the Tigers App, you can send photos and messages for the big screens courtesy of club partner Yodel. Simply open the Leicester Tigers app, click ‘Send A Photo’ and select ‘Big Screen’ to submit a photo or message and we will share some of them during the day.

Tickets

Entry to women's team fixtures is included in men's team season tickets BUT supporters must book their place. Details of how to book have been emailed to season ticket holders.

Match tickets are also available. Book online or by phone. Tickets are £9 adults, £2 under-18s.

If you have any issues with your season ticket or a match ticket booking, call the ticket office ahead of matchday on 0116 319 8888 (option 2).

Bars and kiosks

Final Whistle in the North Stand is open all afternoon for hot and cold drinks.

The stadium runs cashless payments only, including shops, bars, kiosks and programme booths.

Stadium bars use recycled and recyclable plastic cups. There is no deposit paid or collected for cups, hopefully speeding service at the tills.

To help keep a clean stadium and increase our recycling, caterers Levy have generously agreed to give the Leicester Tigers Foundation a 10p donation for every used plastic cup placed in the Mixed Recycling bins around the stadium.

Although there is no Junior Tigers Club for this fixture, there are some activities for younger supporters set up in Final Whistle. There is also a draw for a young fan to lead out the Tigers women’s team as matchday mascot.

Match programme

The programme from this week’s Premiership Rugby Cup fixture includes a preview of the Women’s game and an introduction to the full squad. Copies are still available in the Cub Shop and Matchday Essentials units, price £4.

Half-Time

Look out for a special edition of The Ultimate Big Boot, sponsored by De Montfort University, which provides groups of supporters with a test of skill and nerve on the pitch.

Voting to find the Fans’ Favourite opens on the club app and the winner will be announced at the end of the game.

Post-match

Supporters must keep off the pitch at all times. the players will acknowledge supporters from the front of the Yodel Stand at the end of the game.

Final Whistle in the North Stand will remain open, with the chance to meet players from both teams and hear from a couple of the Tigers squad in a question-and-answer session as well as the opportunity to watch big screen live coverage of the Gallagher Premiership fixture between Saracens and Tigers from 3.00pm.

The Club Shop will remain open until 5.00pm.
