Matchday guide: Tigers v Ospreys

Leicester Tigers will put the final touches to their preparations for the start of the season with a warm-up fixture against the Ospreys at Welford Road on Friday (7.45pm). Here is our guide to what’s in store on matchday.

New signing George Ford, England scrum-half Ben Youngs and fit-again Manu Tuilagi are all in line for inclusion in the Tigers squad for Friday with the opening game of the Aviva Premiership season just over a week away. The full squad for the game will be announced on Thursday afternoon.

Tigers will wear the 2017/18 white away kit for the first time this Friday.

All areas of the stadium will be in operation, with turnstiles open from 6.15pm. Please note that bag searches are now in place at the turnstiles in accordance with ground regulations. Supporters are encouraged not to bring bags to the stadium but, if you do, please allow extra time to get through your turnstile and into your place in the stadium.

The Junior Tigers Club, with activities for young supporters and an opportunity to run out in front of a big crowd as a matchday mascot or Tiger Cub, is open for two hours ahead of every home game, including this Friday, and there will be a player appearance in the approach to kick-off.

All internal bars and food kiosks open at 6.15pm.

If you are attending the game, don't forget to click 'Going' on the Tigers Facebook page.

A new SwipeStation ‘click and collect’ service is now in operation at Welford Road, for an initial trial period in the Final Whistle bar only, to help reduce waiting times and increase efficiency. Download the SwipeStation App on your phone and collect from the fast lane at the bar. For full details of how to download the App and use it on matchdays, click here.

In response to supporter feedback, glass return points will be available in the bars as well as in extra points around the stadium from this week.

The Tigers Club Store in the Holland & Barrett Stand is open all day, with the second store in the Robin Hood Stand open and extra units inside the stadium.

Show your support for the Tigers Foundation team and about Run For All and the Leicester 10K on the plaza outside the stadium.

Half-time entertainment this week includes The Ultimate Big Boot and there is also the Tigers Lotto draw for one fan to win the value of their season ticket.

Please note that the official matchday bus services run by Centrebus are not in operation for this pre-season fixture, but will resume for the Aviva Premiership opener against Bath on September 3. Full details, including timetable, will be published on the club website next week.

The Fan Radio service carrying commentary and referee microphone is not available for this game but will be available from the start of the league season next weekend.

Match tickets remain on general sale at the Tigers ticket office. The ticket office is open 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and up to kick-off time this Friday. Book in person at Welford Road or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2). Or book online any time. There is a print-at-home option for all tickets bought online.

For any supporters unable to attend but who want to forward their season ticket to friends or family, the hub is now active. For further details, please contact the Tigers ticket office.

The ticket office will remain open for an hour after the match for season ticket sales and match tickets for upcoming home games including the season-opener against Bath on September 3 as well as the Round 2 trip to Northampton Saints.

The Tigers Club Store also remains open for an hour after the game.

If you are staying with us, resident band Rock Bottom will perform in Final Whistle after the match.

If you are picking up any pre-paid match tickets on your way to the game, the Collection Point is based on the plaza outside main reception.

Friday’s match is included in season tickets. All existing season ticket cards have been updated to include the new season’s fixtures. New cards have been sent to supporters who have changed seat details or price category only. If you think you should have had a new card for any reason but have not yet received it, please contact the Tigers ticket office now.
