Figure image

Mattioli Woods Welford Road hosts a rugby double on Saturday with Leicester Tigers against Gloucester Rugby followed by big-screen live coverage of England against Wales.

Our Matchday Guide below contains everything you need to know about your day at the stadium.

Kick-off in the Tigers match is at 3.00pm and there will be full live coverage of the Six Nations in Final Whistle and corporate hospitality areas from 4.45pm.

Team announcements from both sides are at noon on Friday and there will be build-up to the game on the club website, app and social media, plus match preview on Saturday morning and full reaction after the game including LTTV interviews.

Please have your season ticket card, match ticket, print-at-home ticket or your smartphone ready before you reach the turnstile to allow easiest possible access to the stadium.

Wellbeing and Safety

There is now no stipulation to complete a health declaration or lateral flow test to secure stadium access but, assist with the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, supporters are requested to wear a face-covering in indoor areas and congested areas around other people, and to follow directions of signage and stewards regarding entry and exit.

Take extra care over hygiene and sanitisation, and if a ball is kicked to you in the warm-up or in the game, please do not return it direct to the players or to the pitch. Instead, return to the ball boy team or a steward so it can be sanitised.

Stadium entry

Turnstiles

The club encourages supporters not to bring bags into the stadium in order to help minimise delays and contact due to searches at the turnstiles.

Stadium turnstiles are open from 1.15pm in the North Stand and 1.30pm in other areas.

Please follow signage and instructions from stewards in the area closest to players of both teams in the Breedon Stand and help us to safeguard the health of players, officials and supporters by reducing congestion the tunnel area before or after the game.

Young fans can also look out for the new Fox’s Supporters’ Bingo activity to play during the afternoon.

Half-Time

Ultimate Big Boot

The Big Boot, sponsored by De Montfort University, allows groups of supporters to test their skills and their nerve on the pitch at half-time. There is a bumper double in prospect this weekend with four teams taking part. Give them plenty of encouragement from the stands!

Two more supporters will try to win in a Papa Johns pizza challenge.

Also at half-time we'll also be joined by England international Ellie Kildunne who will help us look forward to the Red Roses international between England and Ireland in the Women's Six Nations at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday, April 24.

From half-time, supporters can use the app to vote for a Fans’ Favourite.

Post-match

Supporters must keep off the pitch.

Your support is appreciated and the players will acknowledge the crowd from the pitch at full-time. They are unable, though, join supporters on the touchlines.

Please do not wait and gather at the front of the stands as we aim to reduce congestion and close contact in those areas.

The Droglites bar in the Mattioli Woods Stand will also remain open at the end of the game.

There is more rugby action on the pitch during our Prima Tiger Cup Celebration, with under-10s teams from clubs across the region following in the footsteps of rugby legends on the Tigers pitch.

Six Nations

England Six Nations

England versus Wales kicks off at 4.45pm and will be shown live on a big screen in Final Whistle where the bars will remain open.
