Welford Road 125

More legends added to 125 Dinner line up

Leicester Tigers legends Neil Back, Dusty Hare and Freddie Tuilagi are the latest names to be added to the bill for 125 Year Dinner at Welford Road on March 6.

World Cup winner Back made his Tigers debut in 1994 and went on to play in three European Cup finals and in five league title-winning squads in 339 first-team appearances as well as starring on the international stage with England and the Lions.

William Henry Hare – or ‘Dusty’ as he is better known – is the holder of the world record for first-class points scored with 7,337 points and made almost 400 appearances for Leicester Tigers in a 13-year spell with the club. He also won 25 caps for England and gained Lions selection and has recently returned to the club in a scouting role.

The name Tuilagi has become synonymous with the club, starting with the signing of Freddie from rugby league in 2000. With 82 games for Tigers, the oldest brother from the famous rugby family has since been followed by siblings Henry, Alesana, Anitelea, Vavae and Manu as well as his sons Brian and Fred.

Sponsored by vehicle management specialists Total Motion, the 125 Dinner is hosted in the Premiership Suite at Welford Road and includes a three-course meal, interviews with the legends and special auction to raise money for the Doddie Weir Trust.

Back, Hare and Tuilagi join Peter Wheeler, Les Cusworth, Graham Rowntree and Aadel Kardooni among the famous names already confirmed for the evening celebrating 125 years of rugby at Welford Road.

Places are still available at £115 plus VAT per person or a table of 10 with a current Tigers player can be reserved for £1,500 plus VAT.
