Prima returns for third festival

The Prima Tiger Cup event for under-10s teams is back this weekend for the third festival of this season at Tamworth RFC this Sunday (October 27).

Supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter contact-based fun event open to all clubs at under-10 level (RFU defined).

Celebrating its 25th year last year, the event takes place over four festivals covering the Tigers academy region and beyond. Throughout these festivals Tigers will look to identify clubs who demonstrate the true ethos of the game under our event criteria in keeping with the RFU Age Grade Rules and guidelines.

Teams taking part in the festival this weekend are from Bicester, Bourneville, Hinckley, Milton Keynes, Nuneaton, Pinley, Stafford, Trentham, Veseyans and hosts Tamworth. We wish them all the best of luck and hope all of the players and coaches have an enjoyable day with the Tigers.

Players will also get the chance to meet Tigers players as Tatafu Polota-Nau is set to attend this weekend’s festival and Jordan Coghlan will be joining players at the fourth and final festival at Mellish RFC, next weekend.

Selected clubs from the festivals will be invited to participate in a series of games at Tigers’ famous Welford Road stadium, providing a fantastic experience to young and aspiring players.

Attracting more than 70 entries each season, the Prima Tiger Cup is the largest and most prestigious single age-group playing opportunity in the rugby calendar.

This season’s other festival venues and dates:
Mellish RFC – November 3

Places in the Prima Tiger Cup are limited but if you would like to register your interest, book a place or have any questions about the event, please email [email protected] or visit the link below.
