Jasper Wiese has been voted the Players' Player of the Year at the RPA Awards by his fellow Premiership players.

The Leicester Tigers No.8 made 16 appearances for the club this season, including 13 in the Gallagher Premiership, and out-polled Mateo Carreras, Ben Earl, Alex Mitchell and Tom Pearson to win the 2022/23 award.

Speaking about the award win, Wiese said: “It’s very humbling to be named the winner of such a prestigious and special award."

"I’d like to thank the players from around the competition for voting for me, and I just want to thank my Leicester teammates for their support too.”

Wiese was joined by a trio of Tigers in picking up prizes on the night.

Freddie Steward picked up the England Men's Player of the Year, for a second successive season, and Dan Cole was awarded The RPA Special Merit Award alongside Owen Farrell and Emily Scarratt, while Chris Ashton claimed The Champagne Bollinger RPA Moment of the Season for his 100th Premiership try.
