Leicester Tigers secured their spot in this season’s European Challenge Cup following the club’s semi-final win over Ulster. And the final at Twickenham on May 21, won’t be the only European fixture to look forward too.
The 2020/21 season marks the 20th anniversary of the club’s 34-30 victory over Stade Français at the Parc des Princes in Paris to lift the Heineken Cup as European champions.
On Friday, June 25, Leicester Tigers past and present will come together with supporters in the stadium’s Premiership Suite to celebrate 20 years since the club’s first European Cup Final victory.
Around half of the ticket allocation has now sold out with individual and table bookings now available priced at £125 + VAT (individual) and £1200 + VAT (table of 10).
Some of Tigers most famous names from the era including Martin Johnson, Ben Kay, Austin Healey, Neil Back, Tim Stimpson, Geordan Murphy, Martin Corry, Leon Lloyd, Dean Richards, Darren Garforth and Graham Rowntree will be in attendance, alongside former and current players.
Doors will open from 7.00pm with a welcome from the host scheduled for 7.30pm, who will introduce the running order for the evening.
Fans will be entertained with three Q&A sessions with groups of the 2000/01 players in between a three-course dinner throughout the evening.
Footage from the 2000/01 Heineken Cup final will also be shown, looking back at footage on the road to the final, as well as on that historic day at the Parc des Princes stadium.
There will also be opportunity to meet Tigers heroes and share a word, drink and your own fan memories from Paris.
