Tigers duo to feature in Bledisloe opener

Tatafu Polota-Nau will start at hooker for Australia in their Bledisloe Cup opener against New Zealand in Sydney this weekend, with club team-mate Matt Toomua named among the replacements.

Polota-Nau will make his 83rd appearance for the Wallabies, the second most by an Australian in the No2 shirt, while Toomua's inclusion - if used off the bench - will see the inside back represent his country for the first time since the 2016 Bledisloe Cup competition.

Tigers fans can watch the pair LIVE on Sky Sports Action from 10.30am on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the match, Tigers back Toomua said his time in England had improved his knowledge.

“As a playmaker, it's quite good, mentally, trying to find ways to win in different environments and against teams, different styles of play, it's probably helped knowledge more than anything," he told Rugby.com.au
