Tigers head to Diwali Lights spectacular

Leicester Tigers will be celebrating Diwali with supporters in the city at the annual Switch On event this Sunday, October 13.

We’ll be at Cossington Street Recreation Ground between 3.00pm and 9.00pm with Fordy’s Kicking Challenge and Welford’s Wheel, offering fans the chance to win some amazing prizes.

We’ll also be giving away 200 tickets to Tigers’ first home league game of the season, against Saracens on Sunday, October 27 (3.00pm), so make sure you come down to our stand and learn more about our Leicester Tigers Swifts programme!

The Swifts team provides opportunities for youngsters in the black, Asian minority ethnic (BAME) communities, with Tigers running Under-11s sessions at Judgemeadow Community College between 4.30pm and 5.30pm each Monday during term-time.

Leicester’s world-famous Diwali celebrations are the biggest outside of India, and will also feature a full stage show, ‘Wheel of Light’ ferris wheel and spectacular aerial display above the Golden Mile. You can find out more on the Visit Leicester website, here.
