Tigers on Tour | Leicester duo help Boks defeat Lions

Jasper Wiese and Marco van Staden were at their hard-working best for South Africa in the 27-9 win over the British & Irish Lions in the second Test of the 2021 Tour.

Wiese, who started at No.8 for the Springboks, was in the thick of it for 51 minutes before being replaced ahead of the final half an hour of play in Cape Town.

Wiese made 4 carries, 11 tackles and 0 missed tackles in a bruising display from the back of the 'Boks pack.

The Tigers back-rower, in only his second Test appearance, hit a total of 20 rucks in 51 minutes and sat atop the dominant tackle tally for the home team.

Versatile back-rower van Staden joined the match late in the game and showed his strength in attack and defence for South Africa with a strong carrying game and hard-working effort in defence to help ensure the series stayed alive with the home team's Test win.

Earlier in the week, Tigers duo Julián Montoya and Matías Moroni were confirmed as part of Argentina's touring squad for the upcoming 2021 Rugby Championship against Australia, New Zealand and the Springboks.
