Fans have already voted Dusty Hare, Rory Underwood, Sir Clive Woodward, Paul Dodge, John Duggan, Bleddyn Jones, Austin Healey and Graham Rowntree into their Legends XV.
Now supporters can vote for the hooker in the Leicester Mercury newspaper or online from a short-list of Richard Cockerill, Doug Norman, Sid Penny and Peter Wheeler.
The middle man in the club's famous ABC front row between Graham Rowntree and Darren Garforth, Warwickshire-born Cockerill earned a reputation for his combative style and gained 27 England caps. He made 257 appearances and played a major part in a successful era for Tigers, winning five league titles and two Heineken Cup winners' medals with the club. After a spell in France with Montferrand, he returned to Welford Road as a player and then coach.
Norman made 453 appearances between 1920 and 1933, ending his career with the Tigers captaincy in 1932/33, and picked up two England caps.
Although capped just once by England, Penny played 491 times for Tigers between 1896 and 1910, and held the club appearance record for more than 60 years until finally overtaken by David Matthews. He played in a record 10 Midland Counties Cup-winning teams, including eight in a row.
London born, but an adopted son of Leicester, Wheeler reached the highest honours in the game, captaining Tigers in three successive cup-winning years, as well as famously leading the Midlands and gaining 41 caps for England. Captain of England in 1983/84, he also played in seven Tests on two Lions tours. Effective in the tight and exciting in the loose, Wheeler scored 589 points for Tigers in 349 appearances, including 66 tries, 61 conversions and 69 penalties.
