Welford Road welcomed primary schools pupils from across Leicester to take part in the latest tag rugby festival. 

Supported by club partner The Nottingham Building Society, youngsters from Al-Aqsa, Avenue, Granby, Mellor, Rowlatts, Shaftesbury and St Patrick’s primary schools celebrated the end of their six week programme by putting their skills to the test.

Now in its fourth year, the programme sees Leicester Tigers coaches take PE sessions in schools introducing the kids to the game culminating in a festival against other primary schools.

Festivals are usually held at local rugby clubs around Leicester and Leicestershire, but with the 2018/19 season at an end, the club arranged for the festival to be held at the home of Tigers.
