Watch Tigers on home ground in WR5s

The rugby action stretches into the summer with the news that Leicester Tigers will host the next round of wheelchair rugby’s WR5s next month.

The Leicester Tigers team will face opposition from Northampton Saints, Coventry Stampede and Norfolk Knights in the tournament staged at De Montfort University’s Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre on Sunday, July 3 (9.30am-2.30pm).

If you enjoyed the television coverage of the wheelchair rugby action when Team GB came home with gold from the Paralympics in Tokyo, or if you want to see what the game is all about, this is the perfect opportunity to watch the Tigers in action against their regional rivals this summer. All supporters are welcome.

Five Tigers players have been included in the Team GB squad for the Tri-Nations tournament in Alabama next month against the USA and Canada.

Gavin Walker is named as captain and will be joined by Tigers colleagues Nick Cummins, Kieran Flynn, Jack Smith and Jamie Stead in the 12-man squad.
