WATCH | Youngsters take on tag rugby with NBS

Five primary schools from across Leicester and Loughborough took part in the latest Nottingham Building Society Tag Rugby festival.

The six-week programme, which sees Tigers coaches visit primary schools taking over PE lessons, aims to introduce youngsters to the sport as well as give them the chance to compete against other schools from around the region.

Pupils, teacher and parents from St Bart's Primary, Broom Leys Primary, Outwoods Primary, St Wine's Primary and St Michael & AA primary schools all took part in the round-robin tournament in what was for many their first taste of competitive tag rugby.

Now in it’s fourth year, Tigers and club partner The Nottingham Building Society, who help fund the programme, have involved more than 7,000 primary school year 3 and year 4 pupils.

Hosted at Loughborough RFC, discover for yourself what our tag rugby festivals are all about in our video below.
