Leicester Tigers mascot Welford has been exploring the region, meeting supporters new and old as well as providing some great giveaways. He could be coming to a venue near you soon.Welford started his tour at Leicester rail station, then joined the club’s new tag rugby programme supported by The Nottingham Building Society with a visit to meets staff and pupils at Market Harborough CofE Primary School.
When Scotland and USA battled it out in a World Cup fixture, Welford was at Coast2Coast in Leicester city centre and then travelled to Loughborough University just four days before the students were in match action against the Tigers at Welford Road.
After calling to meet staff and patients at Spire Leicester Hospital, Welford wound his first week out and about with an afternoon in Coalville, meeting families to spread the word about the Tigers.
At every visit, Welford has been sharing some great giveaways with supporters and he will be on his travels throughout the World Cup period, so keep your eyes open.
