Leicester Tigers mascot Welford is out and about in the region this week, meeting supporters new and old as well as providing some great giveaways. So keep a lookout.Welford was at Leicester rail station last Thursday, then joined the club’s new tag rugby programme supported by The Nottingham Building Society with a visit to Market Harborough CofE Primary School on Friday to meet staff and pupils.
On Sunday, while Scotland and USA battled it out in their World Cup fixture, Welford was at Coast2Coast in Leicester city centre and travelled to Loughborough University on Tuesday afternoon, just four days before the students send a team to face the Tigers at Welford Road.
It was the turn of Spire Leicester Hospital staff and patients to meet Welford on Wednesday and then the students of De Montfort University got in on the act at their sports fair on Thursday.
We'll be out again on Friday, so look out for some clues on our social media channels.
At every visit, Welford is sharing some great giveaways with supporters and he will be on his travels throughout the World Cup period, so keep your eyes open, he could be somewhere near you soon.
Keep a lookout on Tigers social media, using the hashtag #whereiswelford.
