Owen Williams became the third youngest player to pass 400 points for Leicester Tigers during Saturday's Champions Cup victory away to Munster Rugby.Williams, who started the game on 393 points in Leicester colours, kicked 10 more in Tigers’ 31-19 victory at Thomond Park with two penalties and two conversions.
When the Welsh fly-half converted Mike Fitzgerald’s try just before half-time he went past the 400-point figure.
At 23 years and 289 days, Williams became the third youngest Tigers player to 400 points after John Liley (22 years and 223 days) and Barry Evans (23 years and 191 days).
Coming in his 52nd game for the club, it made Williams the 6th quickest to the target, according to Tigers’ official statistician Stuart Farmer.
Williams follows Joel Stransky (29), Toby Flood (34), John Liley (37), Dusty Hare (40) and Tim Stimpson (46).
In all, Williams is the 32nd player to reach the figure for the Tigers.
