Young fans take control on JTC Takeover Day

Lucky Junior Tigers Club competition winners took over Welford Road for the penultimate matchday of the season as Leicester Tigers faced Newcastle Falcons on Saturday.

Each year, young supporters from the 40,000 members of the Junior Tigers Club are given the opportunity to join Tigers staff in key roles behind the scenes on matchday.
 
From organising the players’ kit in the dressing room and interviewing players, to announcing the teams, taking pitchside photographs and leading the teams on to the pitch, each lucky youngster plays a special role in the day.

Supported by The Nottingham Building Society and retailers NEXT, JTC membership is free for supporters under 16 years old. The JTC area of the Final Whistle is open for two hours before home matches with games, activities and player appearances for young supporters and families as well as the opportunity to become a matchday mascot or Tiger cub alongside club mascot Welford.
