Seven Leicester Tigers players were involved as the 2024 Guinness Six Nations held a dramatic final weekend of action.

The title was decided on an action-packed Super Saturday, with England taking the title and making it three consecutive Grand Slams as they defeated France in Bordeaux.

Tigers stars were instrumental in the side's victory, with both Amy Cokayne and Meg Jones starting and scoring tries in the 21 - 42 victory.

The latter reestablished the Red Roses' two try advantage with an astute interception in the 25th minute, chasing down a punt into the corner and reading the offload perfectly to sprint into space and dive over, a beaming smile reflecting what was a day filled with celebration.

As the first half was coming to a close, Cokayne helped put the finishing touches on the victory, the hooker giving France a mountain to climb after touching down at the back of a dominant rolling maul.

With both sides fighting for the Grand Slam, it's the Red Roses who claimed bragging rights on this occassion, completing a historic three-peat.

Meanwhile, Scotland finished the tournament in fourth place after a final day defeat to Ireland.

Five Tigers were involved, with Elis Martin scoring the game's opening try.

The hooker started the match and touched down within the opening 10 minutes, another driving maul earning Martin her second try of the tournament.

Leah Bartlett and Francesca McGhie also started the match, while Lisa Cockburn and Eva Donaldson entered from amongst the replacements as a tight match saw just three points decide third place as Ireland's late penalty claimed a 15 - 12 victory in Belfast.

The result means that Scotland will qualify for the Autumn's WXV 2 tournament, where they will aim to defend their title having triumphed in the inaugural tournament.

Elsewhere in international action, five Tigers were involved in the opening round of the 2024 Pacific Four Series.

The USA battled Canada in the tournament opener, with the visitors running out 7 - 50 winners in Los Angeles.

Claire Gallagher started the match and scored two tries, one in either half, while Julia Omokhuale entered from the replacement and touching down an unbelievable team score, her first international try.

On the USA side, three Tigers started the match, with Keia Mae Sagapolu Sanele, Tahlia Brody and Tess Feury all named in the Eagles' starting XV.
