The former England and Lions international, who claimed 4,507 of his world record 7,191 points in the colours of Leicester Tigers, has been voted into the full-back jersey in the Walk of Legends which will honour the greatest names in the club's history.
Over the next 14 weeks, the rest of the Walk of Legends slots will be filled week by week, position by position, with voting available through the Leicester Mercury newspaper and website.
When you think of all of the names that have played for this club over the years, it is an honour to be named in the Walk of Legends, said Dusty, who played 394 games for the club between 1976 and 1989.
I have been involved with Leicester Tigers for almost 30 years and I am very proud of that association, so to be named among the Legends is a very special privilege.
I am looking forward to seeing who else is selected for the Walk of Legends. I think quite of few of the stalwarts of the team that I played in during the late 1970s and 1980s will be in with a decent chance of selection. There were some great names at Leicester during that era.
Leicester Tigers has such a great history, I am delighted that some of the famous names from the past will be honoured in the redevelopment of the stadium.
Supporters can also join secure their place in the history and future of Leicester Tigers by purchasing a brick to add to the Walk of Legends, complete with a personalised message and see it laid alongside the club's heroes.
